When It comes to outdoor home landscapes, today’s homeowners look for designs that allow for entertaining and relaxation, according to a recent study from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). The most popular outdoor features are: gardens and landscapes (94.2 percent); outdoor living spaces, such as kitchen and entertainment areas (92.0 percent); and recreation areas (75.8 percent).
“Home Owners know that designed landscapes add value to their lives as well as their property values,“ ASLA Executive Vice President and CEO Nancy Somerville says. “They’re interested in livable, open spaces that are both stylish and earth friendly. “
