Great news Vallejo California has great eduction because Cal Maritime saw top rankings in national academic studies and surveys this year. In an article from Washington Monthly's "College Guide" released in September, Cal Maritime ranked #3 on the list for "Best Bang for the Buck - West." The ranking listed which colleges in the west help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.
Earlier in the year, in a study by Georgetown University of graduate earnings, Cal Maritime ranked 7th among the nation's 1,400 four-year colleges and universities and 1st in the state of California. The study was based on student earnings 10 years after enrollment and found students who started in 2002 had a median annual income of $81,000 in 2012.
The study also compared actual earnings to expected earnings based on the students' major and found Cal Maritime alumni earned $11,900 more than their median expected earnings. Cal Maritime also ranked #4 on U.S. News and World Report's 2017 Best Colleges "Top Public Schools (West)" and #10 in "Regional Colleges West Rankings."
