Good morning everyone - Grant Schneider and Nina Hollander and Barbara Todaro and Raymond E. Camp - I love to knit!!! I learned how from my mom and I use very simple patterns with gorgeous textured and colored wool and love to make hats for all my friends. I used to knit cancer caps as well but today, lots of patients feel more comfortable without anything on their heads!

Good morning Michael Jacobs and Ed Silva and Sheila Anderson - I look forward to having a grandchild to knit a beautiful sweater for - there is still nothing like a handmade sweater. When I went to Ireland this summer I stayed on sheep farm where they made wool and gave us lessons - this photo was not taken there but it was taken at the Rhinebeck Fair!!! Not too far from you Sheila!

Joanna,
How nice to discover that you are a knitter also. I have knit many afghans, and a sweater for Ron as well as many scarves...love the picture, and love that you took classes in Ireland. I have so much left over yarn from different things that I found a pattern to make a knitted quilt with patches of different yarns. A

Joanna - I love those beautiful colors. The entire spectrum of "craft" escaped me. My mother and three sisters were all master seamstresses and could knit, crochet, and do all kinds of artsy things ... not me. Yet, I can enjoy the beauty of it all.
This photo just makes me instantly happy! Michael Jacobs just cracked me up!! And who knew there are these knitters in our bunch? I did that so many years ago that I would be clueless as to what to do. Much like playing cribbage, it's a lost art with me now. Darn. Well, knit.

Joanna, my mother used to knit & crochet all the time, growing up in cold country of Austria and Connecticut I had so many hand knit sweaters people were amazed.... we still have a lot of the crochet stuff she did...Endre
Joanna, these colors are just wonderful! I have a colleague who would love this place - she is always knitting something.
Good morning Joanna. I know my wife would like those. I'm not going to show her this one... It would be a little outside of my travel area..
Michael Jacobs cracks me up too-yes, definitely K1 P2, just don't drop a stitch!
Hey there Ron and Alexandra Seigel - I am a knitter and when I get involved, I don't even get up to snack-great way to lose a little weight!
Good morning Kathleen Daniels - don't worry about missing the Craft Gene-you can always buy something beautiful too! Have you tried the new coloring books?
It definitely comes back to you Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Realtor (503)755-2905 just like riding a bike!!!

Joanna, I love all the colors and would love to have a sweater in each of the colors :)
Good morning Joanna Cohlan ,
Love the colors..so vividly brilliant! I had no clue you knit. I think I tried to knit a long time ago but just couldn't sit still long enough to master the craft. You will have to post some of your handwork..I'm sure they are gorgeous!
Gotta get all the hats and sweaters together Dorie Dillard and take a photo and post. Hope all is well with you and family.
Oh do I love the rainbow of colors. They are my favorite shades. I kind of know how to knit. Lol. Lack the patience, I'm afraid.
Good Morning, Joanna Cohlan - The sea colors on the bundles of yard are so fresh and attractive looking. I love the array of colors.
I hope you have a grandchild soon so that you can knit sweaters for your grandbaby.
