This intricate hand embroidery of an eagle caught our attention on the back of a dress featured in a boutique in Rome. The eagle is known as the "king of the skies" and messenger to the gods above. The eagle symbolizes a clarity of vision (eagle eyes), courage and strength.
The eagle as a symbol of power has a long history dating back to Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. It also appears in religious art in cultures such as: Egyptian, Greek, Roman, American Indian, Islamic and the Judeo-Christian religions.
There are over 100 brands using the eagle as a logo. Here a few of these brands: the United States , the US Post office, Harley Davidson, Nationwide Insurance, Philadelphia Eagles and Georgio Armani.
