Mi's Bistro in Kona Lets You Come As You Are

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

Hard to say if it was the excellent company (having my husband join me in Hawaii for Christmas) or the location on the ocean, or the marvelous food or my glass of pinot that made dinner so delightful. Or maybe just the fact I found a suitable parking place and didn't have to circle the area over and over like a hamster on a wheel.

I especially enjoyed not fussing with myself to go out to dinner. We women tend to fusss too much. There is the hair I did not brush, the makeup I did not wear, and the dress with a hole in it that I dug out of the laundry basket. But, hey, I did slip on pearls. You can read more and see all of the photogaphs in my personal blog today at this link: Mi's Waterfront Bistro Has More Than Location Going For It.

Good morning, Elizabeth -- finding the "right" place, however "right" is defined is probably the best thing that can be said about a restaurant.  When location, food, service and the all-so-important vibe factor come together --- that's my idea of "right".

Hey, at least you wore the pearls. That can make up for everything.

You are cutting quite a swath through the restaurants in Kona. There are so many to choose from, and all close to your vacation house. Have you tried Longboard's for pizza yet? Mixed reviews -- seems to depend on who is working that day. But they certainly have imagination when it comes to pizza.

Michael Jacobs If you ever get over to the Big Island, you would probably like Mi's Bistro. It's a place I'll return to again and again.

Endre Barath, Jr. The right place in part can be state of mind, but when that fork is delivering nourishment to my lips, I'd rather be at a restaurant than sitting on the floor next to the cat food bowls.

Jane Peters I figured a woman like you would understand the part about the pearls. Pearls can dress up anything and brighten all occassions. You can never own too many different types of pearls.

Hella Mitschke Rothwell Well, I am not a big fan of pizza; it's not on my basic food list like sushi. It's not that I don't like it, it's just not a food I crave or rarely devour. There are better food choices than cheese and carbs. But you're so rail thin you can probably eat anything you want.

I love reading about your waterfront dining outings in Hawaii.  And I love that you actually have a dress of your mom's.  That's cool.
