Charlotte's Hottest Zip Codes For Home Price Gains 

 

Charlotte Business Journal recently identified four Charlotte, North Carolina zip codes as the ones showing the fastest home price gains, with the 28206 zip code ranked #1 out of the 11 "hottest" zip codes in the Charlotte region. 28206 showed home values increasing just over 50%.

Gaston County in the Charlotte region had five zip codes 28052 and 28054 (Gastonia), 28120 (Mount Holly) 28012 (Belmont), 28032 (Cramerton).  York County's 29710 zip code (Lake Wylie and Clover, South Carolina) also made the top 11 hottest zip codes.

Joe Pryor ~ good morning, Joe... these are some of the least "desirable" zip codes (or have been) in Charlotte in terms of housing and schools. With home prices going up and inventory drastically down in the more desirable areas, people have turned to these zip codes where prices were still low.... they are still fairly low, but have increased due to demand.

Scott Godzyk ~ hi Scott... and what's amazing is that some of the immediately neighboring zip codes showed the highest decreases in price appreciation. But if you drive through the neighborhoods, you couldn't tell the difference between them.

Wow Nina, looks like Charlotte is hot all over.   How strange that some of the adjacent neighborhoods had a high decrease in appreciation, given their proximity!
