A Famous Name Creates Attention
It was about 12 years ago when talking with my website representative that the idea of using The Real Debbie Reynolds evolved. The representative quickly noticed the familiarity of my name and I told her stories of people joking with me about being the famous actress, Debbie Reynolds. Almost daily I was getting comments about whether could I sing and dance or how was Eddie Fisher.
The actress, Debbie Reynolds did the Tammy movies and had a headline show in Vegas for many years. Her daughter, Carrie Fisher was Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies. Most of America have heard of one or both.
After laughing together about my name the representative suggested I call myself The Real Debbie Reynolds, to get people to remember me and create discussion. Famous names create attention.
That is exactly what I did and it has been a fun ride. The older generation knew who the actress was and would laugh along with me. As the new generation came along they had no idea who she was. In fact a few of them asked me if someone was trying to impersonate me. I had to explain. It created attention as the representative said many years ago.
With the recent passing of the actress, Debbie Reynolds and her daughter, Carrie Fisher the memories of my business moniker have been revived. Many fans across the country are saddened by the loss of these two ladies. I am sad to see this generation pass.
An ActiveRain friend of mine, Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® said now I am the Only Debbie Reynolds. I know there are other Debbie Reynolds in real estate but I will remain The Real Debbie Reynolds. The moniker stands.
