The holidays are winding down and your live Christmas tree is less vibrant than when you purchased it.  So what to do with your tree?  Recycle it!

From December 27, 2016 to January 8, 2017, you can recycle not only your Christmas tree but your wreath as well.

There are several places to conveniently recycle your tree.  For a full list,  visit  the  Public  Works  website  or  call   602-262-7251

There are 3 sites in Phoenix, plus A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales is offering two locations as well.

You can also recycle your trees and wreaths at I Recycle Phoenix Festival on January 7, 2017.   The I Recycle Festival will also recycle your laptops, computers, shred your hard drive, and they will shred up to 5 boxes of paper free!  For a complete list of what can and can't be recycled, check out their site.

No matter where you go, recycle your trees and wreaths to keep them out of the landfill. Make sure your tree has no lights or ornaments and is 'unbagged."

Keep Phoenix Beautiful!

Thank you Jeff Dowler .  Those trees take up a lot of room in a landfill. I'm super excited that the city of Phoenix does this plus they also have started a pilot program in specific areas to do a separate yard waste pick up and divert that away from the landfill as well.    Good for Carlsbad!  Happy New Year and thank you for commenting!
