What You See Is Not Always What You Get...When You Are 6 Years Old!
Our family recently made a trip to Biloxi Mississippi to honor my mother in law on her 80th (surprise party) birthday. Our entire Texas clan headed that way wanting to be a part of the celebration. After searching for a hotel that was close, nice and economical we settled on staying at The Scarlet Pearl Casino and Hotel. The hotel/casino is just 1years old and less than 5 minutes to our local family and the venue we were using. I almost forgot to mention the room rates ($69)!
In addition to the things mentioned there two beautiful putt putt golf courses, pool and yes a casino. This hotel offered the adults and my 6 year old grandson everything we could possibly want. As you know a 6 years old doesn't necessarily see through their eyes the same way adults do.
Upon arriving, of course, my grandson saw the putt putt golf looming large with it's fire breathing volcano and props galore. The putt putt is quite impressive. At this point my grandson saw an amusement park. We grabbed our luggage and headed into the hotel. Like many casinos there was an impending giveaway of two new cars. Once again my grandson's reaction was quite different when he saw the new cars parked inside. He asked why we were staying at a car dealership. Next we rode up the escalator to the main lobby to check in. At this point all the lights and sound of the casino came into focus. My grandson immediately exclaimed that's the biggest arcade I've ever seen.
Due to time constraints we were only able to squeeze in a great game of putt putt but not much else. We hada great time at the party and my mother in law was surprised to be sure. Everyone traveled back to Texas safely.
