Things to do in Alameda on December 31, 2016 and January 1, 2017

I want to wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year.  There are a few things to do this weekend.

The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday, December 31 and Tuesday, January 3  mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine.  All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices.  So good!  Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables and flowers.  The market is on Webster Street and Haight Avenue and is open rain or shine.

Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks will be at South Shore on Saturday, December 31, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot in front of Old Navy.

Crab Cove for Family Nature Fun Hour features “New Year’s Eve Beach Cleanup”.  End the year by helping clean the bay and its wildlife and then find out what’s new at the cove on Saturday, December 31, at 2:00 pm.  Crab Cove is located at 1252 McKay Avenue. Please call 510-544-3187 for more information.

At the Alameda Point Antiques Faire on Sunday, January 1, you’ll have a great time people watching, buying cool things, and enjoying great food. Entry fee is $10 before 7:30 am, $5 after 9:00 am. If you haven’t been to the Alameda Point Antiques Faire you are missing a excellent event.  It is located at the end of Main Street at Alameda Point.
