Starting Out The New Year WRITE!

 

I woke up moving fast to accomplish all the house work I need to get done today. I have been super busy working four jobs at the end of last year. I got rid of two of them in December and will concentrate on the other two.

I have some wonderful friends and spent time with some of them and family yesterday. Had a great dinner of ham, black eyed peas, baked sweet potato, walnut spinach cranberry salad  and coconut cream pie. Of course that doesn't speak to the hors d'oeuvres.

My brother Jack, served our family a wonderful lunch of Pineapple Jabanero BBQ chicken, black eyed peas, corn on the cob, macaroni salad and some pico-de-gallo.

I am not going to pretend, I over did the eating yesterday and paid for it. Some of you (Barbara) will know what I mean. 

This year, I intend to post here on Active Rain more often. Some of my older posts that were also posted on our local multiple listing service have been sending many leads my way. So I am excited about that and I am going to post more this year so that I will get more leads from MLS.

I don't believe on New Years Resolutions. I do believe in trying. So I am going to try and post at least weekly. I believe this year will be a better year than last for all of us!

Yes this year will be a challenge. I had to start a day job, ugh! Our particular area was bad last year, so my last year was bad. So I took on a job. However, I am sure this year will be better and I will kill it. New job, met new people = new leads.

Sussie,  I woke up with full intentions to do some cleaning.  I got started on something in my office and the next thing I knew I was purging 2016 files and preparing for my appointment with my CPA.  

We do the best we can ... I told myself ... it's all GOOD.  It needs to be done ...  I can clean tomorrow.

I got a lot done. Washed all the towels, my clothes, all dried and hung up. Took down the tree and made NY Day lunch of ham, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas, fired cabbage. Cleaned up the kitchen, printed out my newsletters to work on today. Oh and we went to a movie.

I sure hope so. My last year was not too good. I have high hopes for this year. I even started a part time job which will lead to a full time job next week. Hopefully it will be only for a year at most. Lord willing and with his blessing will I be able to get back to doing more listing and selling.

Yes way too many! I got a call from a co-worker I had a long time ago. He asked me to come work for him for awhile, since he was in dire need someone experienced in the field. So I said yes. I have been there a few weeks and he was not kidding about the situation.
