"Only If You Bring The Guacamole"
Yes, I have a client who wants to see a home this afternoon! It's just one home and it should be perfect for them. I found this home last week as I prepared for our home tour this past Saturday. The clients are relocating from New England and wanted a "very Californian-style" property.
Whatever that means, lol.
California is a mix of home styles. We have the traditional ranch homes, Mediterranean style, Mid-Century Modern....even Tuscan. All of these styles have become "Californian" depending on the era and area. On Saturday, we saw a variety of these styles of homes.
The home they want to see today was ignored, it was too much like the home they were leaving. Not that it looked like a New England Salt Box, but it did have elements of Cape Cod styling....and it is located in Laguna Beach. A home in our beach communities could easily offer a Cape Cod feel...isn't that Californian also?
We are a mix of styles. Most communities merge styles well, some...well, they are less successful.
After unsuccessfully finding a home Saturday, they called me yesterday to ask why I thought the home today would work for them. Well...it has everything they want.
Just because you are moving across the country does not mean you lose what makes your family unique.
Hmmmm, so that made sense!
Since they head back home first thing in the morning, we are going to see it this afternoon. When I called to set up the appointment, the sellers welcomed us in, but warned us they would be home watching the Rose Bowl (Penn State vs USC), but we were welcome to come. Oh...and "Bring the Guacamole!!"
