We are so fortunate at Allison James Estates and Homes to have some of the most dynamic and productive real estate professionals in the nation. Our 100 percent commission model and cutting edge technology attracts the crème de la crème of the real estate community. This may be because Allison James allows the individual talents and self-initiatives of our national real estate professional network to thrive. One of the most amazing examples of these incredibly motivated and talented real estate professionals on our team is John Kreiss, who represents Allison James Estates and Homes in Westborough, MA.
For sure John is a highly successful real estate agent who specializes in representing buyers and sellers throughout the Massachusetts communities of Northborough, Shrewsbury, Westborough, and Wellesley. However, if you look a little deeper you will find a consummate business professional that also brings more than 20 years of marketing and new business development experience to his clients and the Allison James Estates and Homes family.
A self-described “technology and media guru”, John uses the tools of social media to connect and engage clients while also cultivating new leads.
According to John, one of the most successful strategies he has incorporated into his marketing efforts is a sophisticated lead capture system that keeps his clients in tune with macro-economic trends taking place in their neighborhoods and updated real estate reports on individual homes and neighborhoods. John even incorporates some good old-fashioned cold calling into his system, targeting FSBO sellers, neighbor’s of clients, and former clients.
“The key is that people are rarely ready to buy when you first contact them, but by constantly staying in touch and really focusing on cross-referencing information, we generate 20 hits a week,” said John.
John knows his stuff, and has published numerous articles on the home buying process, real estate sales strategies, real estatemarketing, along with being a two-time Worcester Business Journal top growth award winner. John is also accomplished speaker, delivering talks to numerous groups across the United States about real estate and marketing strategies for all types of businesses.
One of John’s favorite tips for real estate professionals is to develop a daily plan and stick to it. This plan should include tight scheduling, reducing distractions, and prioritizing communications with clients.
“I recommend waiting until a set time every day to answer non-critical e-mail and voice mail from clients. It’s important to respond within a few hours as much as possible, but if you fall into the trap of answering every client question or concern immediately, you’ll end up spinning your wheels too much and disrupting your daily plan. I am constantly surprised how many people don’t even return their phone calls,” said John.
Well done, John! Everyone could learn a lot from your experience!
So Why Did You Decide To Join Allison James Estates and Homes?
I’ll be honest. I had a very successful business with Keller Williams and wasn’t looking to make a move. But I took a good look at the Allison James business model, and I thought it would be a good fit. I was tired of paying for administrative, marketing and even receptionist costs. Because I had some reluctance to leave my former broker, I called around to some of the other people with Allison James Estates and Homes, and many of them told me it was the smartest thing they ever did!
What Do You Love Most About Allison James Estates and Homes?
One of the things about the big brokerages is that they really make their money from the top two percent of their agents. Because of this, many firms favor one agent over another. With Allison James, there is no reason to favor one agent over another. Simply put, there are NO politics with Allison James. That was a big selling factor to me. Another thing I really like about Allison James is their referral system. It is very straightforward and easy to understand. At Keller Williams, I never could figure out or understand their referral process. It was too complicated.
