It really doesn't matter how many places I visit, where I go, Idabel OK is THE Best Place to Live!

Southeast Oklahoma makes me happy.  God's green country always looks good to these eyeballs after being gone a few days.  

I get irritated when I read such nonsense as this on the health of McCurtain County: "limited availability of healthy food choices".  Every grocery store has healthy food choices, many people have gardens.  It doesn't get much fresher or healhier than growing in a garden right outside your back door.  I don't doubt that we have health issues in McCurtain County, so does the rest of the world, but let's base that label on truthful facts that matter.  While we're at it, what does "a lack of easily accessible sidewalks" have to do with the health of a county and who said we have a lack of easily accessible sidewalks anyway???

We are a mostly rural county with many gravel roads, a country lifestyle.  Hunting, fishing, gardening, swimming, 4-wheeling, horse-back riding..  gardens, etc..  AND the best thing we have going is the people that live here.  People with big hearts, people that pull together in trouble and celebrate together in the good times.
