Tuesday Travelogue January 3rd 2017!
Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our 117th week! And our first travelogue of the new year--woohoo!
Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
Since we just "celebrated" bringing in a new year, I thought we'd raise a toast in some fashion while traveling virtually. (I dove into my ActiveRainWiners group for these. You may have seen some of these, but why not re-visit?). No Whining allowed, just some wining....
Lisbon, Portugal is a place I have on my bucket list with my sister for a future trip. In the meantime, we are whisked away to that magical area through a bottle of unique wine, and some history thanks to Dick Greenberg.
Rainbows and vineyards? Sounds good to me...say hi to Curtis Van Carter who brought us this from Yountville...(where??), check out his quick message!
Well, here was a different take on a Christmas ornament--with a good message for all YEAR, along with some other choice wine phrases. So many wines...so little time. Thanks for the reminder, Bob Gilbert!
Purple Heart Napa Valley Red...oh, yum...and the message goes straight to the heart, just like what Patricia Feager does!
And just before celebrating the official holidays, I took a bit of a vacation in Newport Oregon and celebrated the day with a new wine from my Turner Classic Movie Wine Club collection.
Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels.
