Extra Bedroom Please!

Real Estate Agent with Buy and Sell Oklahoma LLC 172320

When I "drive up to the menu" of houses (in the not so distant future), I will be looking for one important item:  An Extra Bedroom to call my own.

As I mention this, to family and friends ~
they immediately ask "Are you and Andy doing OK?"

Yes, my husband and I are quite happy.

So, why do I want a bedroom of my own?

If you look closely at the picture ~ you will see a microscopic clue ~ tiny pieces of foam ~ so compact they can fit in your ear ~ yet expand to block out an enormous amount of sound.

You guessed it.  Earplugs!
(You may have noticed the large clue as well... the couch)

Now... I can neither confirm nor deny which one of us snores the loudest ~ all I can say is that I fall asleep after my husband.   **Please don't tell him I admitted to snoring (:

If at midnight, your bedroom is filled with the sounds of planes, trains, and automobiles ~ wouldn't it be nice to slip away into the quiet extra bedroom down the hall (already containing an equivalent of your favorite pillow).
Some reading this will say "That's what a guest bedroom is for"
Well, the guest better be ready to sleep with my husband ~ because that room is mine!

***Upon futher consideration ~ I will also add a guest bedroom to the list***

So, if you are like me and have a craving for an Extra Bedroom on the side -- we'll add that to your home buying wish list too!

 Love you Andy Lee (:

Cute, Alesha!  My husband might have a similar complaint because I often talk in my sleep!

Meanwhile, us men have to deal with wives that are as cold as ice one minute and hotter than Arizona asphalt the next. None of it is bad enough that I want my own bedroom!

Good morning Alesha.  I had the same issue until I started using a C-Pap, it all went away and now everyone is happy

Hi Alesha - Mary & I both accuse each other of snoring, but that's trivial compared to the racket from the 3 sleeping dogs and the cat who share our bed. Fortunately, neither of us is a light sleeper.

Alesha A. Wilson ~ LOL... The title had me wondering where you were going to go (and that's a good thing.) One thing is for sure "sleep" isn't overrated. We all deserve a good night sleep "plus" we do that much better after a good night of uninterrupted sleep

My wife uses a cpap machine and seems to be able to sleep through my snoring. As you get older, you will problably find sleeping to be even more difficult.

HI Alesha A. Wilson , I'm ok with the snoring; it's the tv that drives me insane.  The volume is so loud I can't think.  Solved that problem with a pair of tv ears.  Whoever invented it is a genius - must have been a woman!!!

Hello Alesha

What a great post and VB likes quietness when he sleeps also and if my wife is always getting up to go to the rest room it's difficult for me to get a good nights sleep

Hello again Alesha

I drink a cup of decaffeinated green tea, take on Valerian root capsule (natual herb) and a low dose aspirin and Vegas Bob sleeps like a baby

Cute post. I know I snore. Mike is too nice to say anything about it, though. Heck I've even woke myself up. That's no joke.

I like a home with an extra room . . . . lots of options on how it can be use.

Good luck and success.

I missed this post from almost a year ago.

I have a home listed that has an adjoining room...could be an office, TV room but I am calling it a "snoring" room. Alesha A. Wilson, M.Ed., MRP
