Blue Origin Coming to the Space Coast with 330 New Jobs!

Recently the Space Coast has been all about Space X/Boeing and the trip to Mars sometime in the 2030s. Well Jeff Bezos (co-founder of Amazon and founder of Blue Origin) is bring manufacturing of rockets to the Florida Space Coast!

Does this mean a new Space Race...this time between Elon Musk and Jeff Bazos?

Blue Origin has agreed take over 750,000 sqft of space to build rockets here! This is truly significant because up until now the Space Coast has been the place to shoot off rockets...but not build them!

A second company named OneWeb also wants to build rockets here as well. This rockets will launch probes that will provide Internet access to parts of the world that have none.

It is truly an amazing time to live on the Florida Space Coast!

From a business perspective, it sounds like things are going great for the Space Coast area.

At the same time, I'm awed at the amazing technology and work that people are doing there. Shooting off rockets, building rockets..... It is a very different world than my quiet little country life watching pigs turn over buckets of water and worrying that the calves are mooing too loud.

So many people put there hearts, souls and energy into building the space program that I'm glad to hear that the excitement is continuing in the private sector.
