NRG Center in Houston Texas will host the Sixty Second Annual Boat, Sport & Travel Show beginning on Friday January 6, 2017 and running until Sunday January 15, 2016. The show will be closed on Saturday January 7, 2017 due to the Houston Texans ( Contractual Obligation) are playing a playoff game at NRG against the Oakland Raiders. ( Side Note: Looks like another first round blowout loss for the Texans.. Savage is hurt with concussion issues and Osweiler is back at QB!!). This event is billed as the largest Indoor Boat Show on the entire US by the show promoters. Can anyone believe this show is now celebrating its Sixty Second anniversary!
As usual it is expected the crowds will be very large. As in prior years, there will be a hugenumber of powerboats, luxury cruisers, fishing boats and personal watercraft on display. Several boat manufacturers and dealers will be offering pre-boating season deals and if you are in the boat market this maybe the best time to buy. I am not a boat owner and I am unsure if this type of show is the time to buy or is it better to wait? Anyone have comments?
One key point for all folks to think about is the boats are on display indoors and all attendees can see and touch the boat prior to buying. I would want to see and touch my boat if I was buying before I signed the papers plus spent big bucks.
The show will also exhibit a huge selection of travel trailers, campers and other accessories for outdoor type of fun seekers. Owning a camper gives the owner the ability to travel anytime of the year and to numerous destinations here in the US.
In addition to the boats and campers there will be several exhibits for the entire family. Numerous vendors will have for sale will be a large array of items. A few of the special features include boat building for kids; Rive the Golden Age of Boating;XPOGO Thrill show; Bass Tub Aquarium; Bungi Jump; Bumper Boats and Inflatable slide.

If anyone from Katy Texas plans to go to this show the traffic at least on the weekends and non rush hour should be fairly easy to deal with and travel time might be about 30-45 minutes one way.
