For the sixth straight year, The Greenbrier donated more than $1 million in toys to local and national charities for its “Dream Tree for Kids” holiday gift drive.
The Greenbrier’s owner and CEO, Jim Justice, who is also West Virginia’s Governor-elect, initiates the drive with his own generous donations each year, the project helps to ensure that children throughout West Virginia and beyond wake up Christmas morning with at least one special gift to unwrap.
If you visited the Greenbrier from November through December each year, you will see wrapped and unwrapped toys throughout the Resort.....
On December 15th, organizations who qualified to receive gifts by filling out a registration form in October picked up the gifts and distributed them to those in need. More than 100 organizations qualified, and more than 32,000 toys were distributed. Volunteers worked more than 1,700 hours and used nearly 29,000 feet of wrapping paper to wrap the more than 13,000 presents that were distributed along with almost 20,000 unwrapped gifts.
The "Dream Tree for Kids" is a part of The Greenbrier's ongoing commitment to serve the community and its citizens. In addition to the organizations that are aided by The Greenbrier year round, Neighbors Loving Neighbors has been at the forefront of community support since the devastating floods of June 23, 2016. Those efforts are continuing as more and more houses are being rebuilt for those who lost so much on that tragic day.
The Greenbrier is located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. If you are thinking of buying or selling a home here, contact Rebecca Gaujot and let's talk real estate.
