Here I am in Hawaii looking out over the beautiful Honolulu Country Club, 10 minutes from downtown, and maybe 20 minutes from the beach. What am I doing here when it's absolutely beautiful everywhere out there? Working away in my Honolulu real estate office taking care of clients in Hawaii and California.
But that's the way I like it.
Yesterday and the day before I was out showing luxury condominiums, and today I need to do all the follow-up work so my clients can make informed choices which one(s) to make offers on.
That's pretty heady stuff.
Having lived here in the Hawaiian islands for 26 years of my life, it is always exciting to me to show these beautiful islands to my clients--and watching their reaction.
But it's not all work for THIS real estate broker.
Fellow Activerainer Elizabeth Weintraub and client who purchased her Big Island of Hawaii vacation home through me has been making major noise about joining her on Lanai Island for a day of fun, food and other frivolous stuff. She's coming to Lanai via boat from Maui.
Want to know a little more about Lanai?
About 98% of the physical island was bought in 2012 by Silicon Valley ORACLE founder Larry Ellison. Yes, and this big chunk of real estate includes the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, the Lodge at Koele.
Yes, that's where we are having lunch.
But we'll have a lot to say about THAT meet-up in the next week. Can't you just see it, the top listing agent in Sacramento meeting up with the "gypsy" real estate broker of Carmel-by-the-Sea and Hawaii? Thank heavens I won't have to drive, it's all via plane and golf cart - hence the golf course photo here!!!
