Norovirus is severe this winter
What is commonly called 'stomach flu' has nothing to do with influenza and is really norovirus. When family members or co-workers have sudden attacks of inflamed intestines and bouts of vomiting and diarrhea, it is probably cases of norovirus. Most people get better in two or three days but norovirus is highly contagious during and after the obvious symptoms.
