he Queen Creek Community will soon be enjoying a new park and neighborhood space.
The Queen Creek Town Council recently approved the conceptual design for a new park and play area, with a designated location on the West Park site at 196th Street and Appleby Road. This will be located near the intersection of Ocotillo and Sossaman Roads.
The park will encompass 30-acres, helping the town fill the need for additional recreational space in the community. The conceptual design shows plans for a splash pad, wheel park, play and picnic areas, walking trail, lake, restrooms, concessions, lighted multi-purpose field for soccer or football and lighted baseball and softball fields.
The approval means the town is one step closer to having a new park for it’s citizens. In the past decade, a number of new homes and neighborhoods have been built in Queen Creek, making this park a much-needed new facility for the town. Improvements to the park will be funded by impact fees that new homes have accrued over the years, designated specifically for parks. The parking improvements and streets associated with the project will be funded through street impact fees and the two percent construction sales tax. The lake will be funded with wastewater and water capacity fees and savings.
The next step in the development is the selection of a landscape architect or engineering firm, as well as a general contractor. Construction is set to begin next fall, with the grand opening slated for fall of 2018.

A FEW OF OUR TESTIMONIALS (Additional ones upon request)
Celia and Ed Maddox were wonderful to work with. They were extremely patient with me and very flexible with showing houses. It's nice to work with a husband and wife team because it really is twice the service! They complement one another nicely and both bring different perspectives to the table so you get very well rounded views and opinions from them both. I plan on staying in my home for many years, but if I ever do buy or sell again in the future I will definitely use Ed and Celia!
