This was day 5 of my 22 day pushup challenge in honor of our military women and men. I passed the challenge on to friends letting them know that:
The rules are simple:
. Once nominated your 22 days start the following day;
. Every day you record yourself doing 22 push ups, try your best to reach 22. If that means you do assisted push ups or that you take breaks that is fine but try to finish all your push ups in one video;
. Every day you must nominate a new person;
. And finally, have fun. This is a simple way to get the word out about a matter that more people need to be aware of. Military men and women put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms only to get out and feel lost. It is sad that 22 veterans a day feel that suicide is their only way out. If you know a veteran who is struggling, or you know someone who is struggling, call 1-800-273-8255 for help.
It was not always easy finding a location that would be hospitable to doing the push-ups and I often worried that I would run out of time to get them done. So, anytime I found a place that would work - I did them.
