THINK BIGGER!! Part 1 SUCCESS MINDSET
When I became a mortgage originator many (many!) years ago, I was determined to provide value beyond rates, and mortgage information. I am happy to provide all of that you need, but my time today will be focused on helping you to make more money, to step even a little bit out of your comfort zone. I am here today to talk about G-O-A-L-S.
Since we are at the beginning of a new year, you may have set some goals, resolutions, intentions or even created a challenging business plan. I am not going to get into how many calls lead to a yes that lead to an appointment, that lead to an opportunity that lead to a sale. There are lots of brilliant tools that can help you with that. My goal is to motivate, encourage and get you excited about the possibilities.
Have you set an Income Goal for 2017?
- Is it written down?
- Is it specific?
Are you willing to indulge me for a minute?
I want to prove to you that there is a mind/body connection to your money. Think about your income for 2016. When you think about the number, what emotion comes up?
Is it excitement?
Pride?
Shame?
Frustration?
Dread?
Are you thinking that it’s about time to get a a "real" job?
Can you feel that in your body?
Where do you feel it?
Now, even if you already have it written down somewhere, take a minute to write down a goal for 2017. Some of you may already have a number in mind, some of you may not. Just write down a number. When you look at that number and say '
“It’s not enough”.
How true does that feel?
OK, now take that number and double it.
Scary?
Uncomfortable?
OK, now double it again!
Ooh, I bet you can start to feel that!
Ask yourself these questions:
Is it possible? I don’t even have to see your number to know that there are agents making that and more. Probably even agents in your office!
How would the people in your life feel about you making that kind of money?
How would you feel about yourself?
What would it mean to achieve that goal?
What belief do you have about making that amount of money?
What is holding you back?
