Show up, dive in and stay at it!
These words were spoken by President Obama in his last speech to the country. Although he was saying this phrase so we would stay engaged in the political process and I couldn't stop thinking about how it would serve us well through life.
We are all a work in progress, we all have room to improve in all aspects of our lives. The question becomes what do we need to do to become a better person, a better spouse, a better parent, a better friend, a better real estate agent?
The solution is easier than we think.
Show up, dive in and stay at it!
It's easy to look at others and wonder why they have all the luck.
It's easy to make excuses.
It's easy to become jaded and cynical.
It's easy to find fault.
It's easy to have a pity party.
It's easy to give up.
Achieving Success is Not Easy
It takes determination.
It takes commitment.
It takes a change in your mindset.
It takes some self-reflection.
It takes letting go of old behaviors.
It takes work.
It takes showing up.
It takes diving in.
It takes staying at it.
Expect More
Expect more from those around you.
Expect great things to happen to you.
Expect to get out of your comfort zone.
Expect to work more.
Expect more from yourself.
Expect success.
