The Share the Warmth Coat Challenge to support our annual Steve's Coats For Kids Drive in Ballantyne Corporate Park in Charlotte, North Carolina's Ballantyne area has been extended until Friday, January 13th! Please help reach the goal of collecting 2,500 coats for Steve’s Coats For Kids to help underprivileged families in Charlotte by donating coats through noon on Friday, January 13. Needed are new or gently used coats in all sizes. Adult sizes are especially needed for teens. Please help... we've had some very, very cold days in Charlotte this past week and winter is only getting started... no child should be "left out in the cold."
Steve’s Coats For Kids have collected nearly 120,000 coats during the last 12 years since the program was founded in 2005. Every coat donation spends less than 48 hours in the Crisis Assistance Ministry Free Store before benefitting someone in need. Crisis Assistance Ministry has served the Charlotte area since 1975. An independent non-profit agency, it focuses on preventing homelessness and preserving dignity for Charlotte-Mecklenburg's working poor -- providing assistance with rent, utilities, clothing and furniture.
You can drop off coats in the collection bins located in all of the Ballantyne Corporate Park building lobbies. Now that you have an extra day and a half to do so, please help gift the gift of warmth to Charlotte children. For a map of Ballantyne Corporate Park, click here.
