When it comes time to sell your home I, and most Realtors, highly recommend sellers spend as much time as necessary to get things prepared right before the house hits the market.
And, if there is an issue, sellers really have three choices:
- ignore the problem and hope they will not notice,
- do a work around to minimize the problem, or
- fix the problem.
Sometimes the fix may not be 100% but retains functionality. Whether this is an acceptable choice will depend on the buyer and the specific problem.
Regardless of the choice made remember.... they will notice.
