My Blog Was My Storefront!

Reblogger Will Hamm
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Hamm Homes

What a great blog from Carol Williams.  If you missed it in Oct 2016, see it now.

Original content by Carol Williams

I had an ephiany last night!  I was having a long overdue catch-up session with a friend.  She owns a successful health food store in Wenatchee.  She is very passionalate about health as I am about real estate.  She said she loved selling within her store but she could never do what I did (before retirement) and go "out" and sell.

The proverbial light bulb came on. Honestly, it suddenly occurred to me that my blogs and website were my "storefront".  I didn't go out and sell.   People, literally, came to me.   It was like they were walking into my "store" and wanted my help.

The last decade of my career in active sales was very different than the first 24, before blogging. 75% of my business came from my website and blogs.  I did not "go out" looking for business.  I just served them as they came to my "store". Of course, this was just the beginning of the relationship. When my blog and website started getting high search engine rankings  (all organic) I had to hire 2 assistants to help me.

How awesome is this?  You have a 365/24/7 storefront and you don't even need to pay to staff it when you're not there!  People can come and look around all they want while you are doing something else.

I can't stress enough how important it is to establish and constantly nurture your website and blog.  It will change your life!

How well is your "storefront" working for you?

Good morning, Will... that is exactly what our blogs and websites are, our store fronts. I ready this when Carol first posted it and it was a great message.

It is our storefront and where consumers window shop and make the decision to open the door and come in and get more familiar with us and the inventory. Nice reblog, Will.
