Digging 'Below the Surface' in Carlisle, PA.

There are many different styles of agents in the real estate business. Some agents seem pushy but they still have a great following. Others seem too laid back but pull in plenty of business. We each have a style and there are those out there that will respond well to it. Be real, be yourself and treat people right. You will get business if you go after it.

One size does not fit all.  Whether we are talking about a poncho or a business model, we are all different with varying shapes, styles, and personalities and the one size approach is sure to get lost in the sea of many.

So how does one 'stand out' from the crowd...??
Why would someone 'notice' my business as opposed to the other 99 that seem on the surface to do the exact same thing...??
I am not a master marketer.  I am simply sharing from my own heart -

Have you ever approached the front door of a home to see a welcome mat sitting beside a 'no soliciting' sign - ??  Do those two messages seem to be offering a mixed message...??  I don't think so.  Actually most people are quite welcoming to new friendships, new ideas, and new valuable information but most simply do not have room for the carpetbagger that shows up unannounced to sell their wares. On the surface, the thought process behind establishing a business may be to 'get your stuff in front of as many people as possible' - 'strut your expertise and wave your accomplishments' ...
This approach may result in what appears on the surface to be a quick gain, but the deeper question lingers...
Does this approach delve to develop the fragile fibers of the foundation of trust - ??

I propose that those that put forth the 'on the surface' ideologies are simply looking for the fastest road to the end result.  Yet the road to the heart of establishing trust has no shortcuts.

In a world cluttered with an abundance of technology, perhaps the heart longs for the authentic, the vulnerable, the imperfect. - the human.

Perhaps connection happens and trust grows through touching another...through sharing the simple terrific days and not-so great days, the celebrations, the struggles, the moments of enthusiasm, and moments of fear - those fibers that truly speak to each of us 'below the surface' and say - 'this person is the real deal'...

That's so true that everyone has a style. And the style that appeals to some will not appeal to others. Good point and thanks for the re-blog.

Thanks for the reblog.  Understanding that everyone has a different style is essential to finding leads and selling houses. Not understanding that one size does not fit all may cause your business to suffer.
