The main stream media no longer reports news..they add commentary to slant the consumer to their way of thinking. Its a shame because anyone can plant stories and consumers will take it for the truth because they want to and don't want to research to find the truth!

Like everything else it starts at the top. If the news media did there job of finding and reporting the news it would be less rampant. It becomes a pain in the arse to have to check every story as to it being legitimate and if everything we do is scrutinized and laws made to curtail our activity; maybe some should be made for some internet sources.

Good morning Robert.  News fake or otherwise can be spun in so many different ways.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if all the news media reported the truth and not spin it to their liking....  Sigh

Great post and I am pleased that President Trump has pointed out that this is a serious problem. Now the elimination of it needs to be completed along with the newscasters who insert their opinions into the news.

I'm so glad that Gabe Sanders re-blogged your post! I missed it. Fake news has been around foe quite some time but the mainstream media has become so opinionated they are no longer reporting news instead editorializing causing people to search elsewhere for the facts.
