Many of us have the “Rainmaker” status on ActiveRain. Have you thought about the meaning of the word “Rainmaker?”
A Rainmaker is a person who makes things happen. He/she is an achiever. How many of you are Rainmakers? If you're a team leader, are you responsible for making the phone ring and providing business for your team members? Are you the Rainmaker for your team members? That's a huge responsibility!! I’ve been doing that for over 10 years.
If you are not on a team, you are your own Rainmaker. If you stop marketing, the phone stops ringing, and you're out of business. Not every individual agent is a Rainmaker. One needs to be committed to marketing, in order to make the phone ring. That's a big commitment of time and money.
Not all agents can make that commitment. Those are the agents who are candidates for joining a team or working in a conventional office where the office is responsible for making the phone ring. The split is larger for the office, but the responsibility to market does not exist for that agent.
When capable agents leave a RE/MAX or a Keller Williams, it's because they do NOT market for business, and the phones have stopped ringing for them. Not every real estate agent is or wants to be a top producer. Everyone wants to participate but on a variety of different levels.
We all need to make that commitment to either market or find the right real estate office that will provide marketing for us. ActiveRain makes life simple for all of us. Google loves ActiveRain. My free market analysis posts are most important to my team and our listing inventory. Those posts are consistently on the first page of a Google search for a variety of keyword phrases searching for listings in my town.
Rainmaker status is a MUST on ActiveRain to make the phone ring. Rainmaker status within an office and/or team relies on an agent’s successful marketing ability. On ActiveRain, it’s a no-brainer. Pay the fee!! Within your office, learn to market and/or become an ActiveRain Rainmaker, and they’ll give you the guidance you need.
Just another thought for the moment….
