I received a piece of mail this afternoon stating that my interest rate was going to adjust! I freaked out!! I immediately start called the company that sent the letter and then hung up while on hold and called my own mortgage company to see what was going on. Apparently this company likes to use scare tactics to get business. I have copied and pasted the letter for all to read.
As scheduled in your original mortgage documents, your payment is set to adjust. According to our records, your excellent payment history may qualify you for our NEW Timely Payment Reward Program.
A payment increase, of up to 3%, from your initial interest rate will occur if you do not make any changes to your current mortgage account status. Please call 1-888-776-3553 within 5 business days to lock into a Fixed Rate with the TPR Program.
