The Liberty Bell is a Philadelphia icon. It is a symbol of American independence.
It's inscription conveys a message of liberty.
The Liberty bell is located at 526 Market street, Philadelphia, Pa . 19106. It is open daily 9 am to 5 pm and there are extended hours in July and August.
'Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the LAND unto all the inhabitants thereof ..... '
If you visit Philadelphia this should be on your list of things to see.
When you are in the area you can take a walking tour of other historical places in the area. Whenever we have friends from out of town we take them to see the Liberty bell. There is a souvenir store in the Bourse building across from it where we can get all kinds of souvenirs .
We often buy a replica of the Liberty Bell for them.
There is a food court in the Bourse building.
I like to take my friends on the guided tour of the historical area because people can learn a lot about our history and it refreshes our memory as well as we learn new things.
Another thing to do when you come to Philly is that you should try a soft pretzel.
I love to live in metro Philadelphia area. There are great museums, there is a
