Although, most people thought that Houston market was tough due to the oil downturn in 2016; Towne Lake faired extrememly well. This was the 2nd best year Towne Lake has had and that was 313 homes sold and closed. The sweet spot here in Towne Lake is the 400-500K we had sales at all price points starting at 200;s and they go well over the million dollar mark for homes.
Some of the builders in the Towne Lake area are of coourse the best David Weekley, Newmark, Coventry, Plantation, Partners in Building, just to name of few. There are also the Custom Builders for the 2+ acre homes.
The people that seem to be moving into Towne Lake are people from Heights area who now have families and want to migrate into the suburbs so that their children can go to highly acclaimed schools. When asked why are you willing to give up "city life" for the burbs most answer that they would not move anywhere but Towne Lake because of all it has to offer and the convenience to restaurants and great shopping.
