"No matter how slow you go, you're still lapping everyone on the couch."

In the morning version of Word Wednesday (Patience), I focused on the ongoing education required to become a successful agent.
This afternoon, I'd like to focus on the patience required to create a successful blog. Many real estate agents start blogs and quit because they believe they aren't getting any results. Building a blog is like building a savings account. It doesn't seem like much at first, but it builds as you go. It takes time to build an archive of valuable content to give you the Google juice you need to get noticed.
Building a blog is more like a marathon than a sprint. Take your time, blog daily (or as often as possible) and let the archive grow into a powerful resource, establishing you as THE local market expert. If you are patient and persistent, you'll be amazed at how valuable your blog will become to your future business, for a long time to come.
Blogging is the most effective, least expensive, form of long term lead generation. Unlike advertising, you don't have to keep paying. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Patience is a virtue and if you use it you will become the overnight success to many after so many years. When you listen to the stories of successful overnight successes you often find they ground their way through many years before they became an overnight success.

Good morning Carol. You are right but it isn't easy for many to stick to it. What's unique here is that you learn and make friends while honing your skills and market.
