What do you love about the area?:We really like the quiet, tranquil setting of the house and have enjoyed many afternoon/evenings sitting on the deck with family. The wildlife at the pond and backdrop of the golf course, we find, are very relaxing.

What are some great things about Forest Lake?: Shopping, Groceries, Dinner, etc it’s all just 5 mins away! Forest Lake itself is a fun lake for boating, skiing, swimming and fishing with the landing just down the road. Golfing of course is very convenient, our house is right on the 7th hole of Castlewood Golf Course - a 9 hole regulation par 36 public course. There are also lots of community events like the huge Fourth of July weekend, we always find something to do if we want it.

What restaurants are nearby?: We really like the Old Log Cabin, the broasted chicken is excellent! Aqua is also excellent and on a more casual evening we like Stella’s, we can actually walk there along the golf course greens.

What grocery stores or nearby shopping if there?: We usually do our grocery shopping at Cub Foods or WalMart. Both are located right in Forest Lake.

Information about the schools in our area: One of our Daughters is in 9th grade and is quite involved in the local Forest Lake School District. We have attended many school related events and always enjoy our time along with being extremely impressed with the School District itself.

What do you do for interests and hobbies near the property?:We go on a lot of walks down to the lake or into Forest Lake itself. We also like to jog and bike ride around the neighborhood and to the trails.

Tells us all about any additional property highlights, upgrades, recent updates that have been done: We have completely remodeled to modernize the inside of house to an "open floor plan" giving it a clean fresh look. We have a fenced in the backyard with a sprinkler system, there is also a pond in the backyard that we use for ice skating in the winter. We really enjoy relaxing on the maintenance free deck while taking in the beautiful views. We have an above ground pool that is only 2 years old and we also have hook ups for hot tub outside.

Key points about the house that we were drawn to when we first looked at the home: Very spacious home that includes a pond and view of a golf course. Close to schools and commute to the Twin Cities.
