Happy Mothers Day To all the mothers of the past, the mothers of now and the mothers of tomorrow

By
Real Estate Agent with Du Rite Realty, Co.

Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day
With little time to stop and pray
For life's been anything but calm
Since You called on me to be a mom
Running errands, matching socks
Building dreams with building blocks
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes
And other stuff that children lose
Fitting lids on bottled bugs
Wiping tears and giving hugs
A stack of last weeks mail to read
So where's the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a minute, Lord
Just at the sink or ironing board
To ask the blessings of Your grace
I see then, in my small one's face
That you have blessed me
All the while
And I stop to kiss
That precious smile

My active Rain friends,

Truly, we must celebrate evey day for being here, just here. Mothers Day, Fathers Day... Channuka, Christmas, NewYear, really doesn't matter. We should celebrate Life every day.

This is for all the mothers who are here now, the ones who are going to be one in the future  and the ones who are not among us any more.

                                                                                     Happy Mothers Day

So sweet and touching!  I also want to know if you are the author.  I am the mother of 6 children, so the matching socks part I totally relate to!  ; )  I feel incredibly fortunate that God would bless me so greatly by allowing me to be a Mother.

Orbosa, Mary, Pam and Jonathan,

thank you all for your comments, and no  it is not my poem, but because it is a very personal and sensitive holiday it really took me long to find something suitable for the site. I love to write humor.
