To understand Feng Shui, you need to be open and receptive in how you choose to perceive your surroundings internally and externally. Feng Shui speaks in the language of metaphors and symbolism encouraging change mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. As you become more familiar and comfortable with bridging these two worlds, Feng Shui could become common sense.
Starting with a foundational principle in Feng Shui you could begin by observing the layout of your furniture. By arranging furniture in a way that allows easy access through and around each room is said to generate great flowing ch’i (energy). Do your best to avoid ‘squeezing’ the energy, which could translate into people struggling to move around the overall room or around the furniture itself. Energetically, this could create a feeling of stagnation, confusion, irritation or feeling 'stuck' with moving forward in any area of life mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Become observant in making sure the full presentation of each room does not visually or energetically feel heavy. Think 'breathble' and easy to navigate.
There is more to this, yet for now this is a great starting point.
