I found an interesting observation after retuning home from my trip to California this past December. Before this particular trip, I noticed one of my bamboo plants was in the process of dying and I was doing what I could to save it.
Before departing, I made the choice to cut away the already dead parts and replant the bamboo stalk. I placed the bamboo near various other plants because I read the energy of healthy plants could support those that are weaker. I have replanted bamboos before yet didn't have much success so I figured, why not test a different approach.

Long story short, after returning from California (3 weeks later), I was pleasantly surprised to see my little bamboo had survived and not only that, it began to grow roots!
If you do this, just make sure the plant that needs support is not infected with bugs. For me, its was clear it was dying for other reasons and it was able to be revitalized with a little extra support from it's fellow plants. Moving forward, I'll have to reassess the type of plant that can survive in the room it once lived.
