So far we had an incredibly warm winter with temperatures in the mid to high 70s and even in low 80s. Yesterday the cold front came and we had only 58F in the middle of the day and it dipped into the 40s at night, but it is for 3 days only and by Wednesday we are back to the 70s.
And January is usually our coldest month.
The weather is gorgeous. Sunny days with occasional clouds. Beautiful sunsets. Sleeping with open sliding balcony doors… If you do not look at the calendar, there is no way you can say it is winter. We are a bit too busy now and do not walk on the beach every day, but every time we go, I get into the ocean. The water, I think, is 66-67F. Of course, I prefer warmer water, but I can easily handle this as well.
Quiet time in Daytona is ending. The first race of the season – 24-hour Rolex is under way, and way more are coming in February, then Bikeweek, then Spring Break, and then Summer…
On the photo is a view of MG (Marina Grande) on the Halifax at dusk. This pair of condominium Towers creates an excellent focal point in otherwise boring Holly Hill skyline.
