Airdrop your files from your iphone to ipad or to someone else's phone.

I am just so bummed! I just found this out a couple of months ago!

This is so darn easy it's almost sinful! I like to shoot photos and video on my iphone. But then like to move the files to my ipad. What a hassle (or it was). I would upload them to dropbox and then down load them on my ipad. And you don't have to have an internet connection either. During a slow open house it is amazing what I can create. Yeah I'm modest. :0

Airdrop has been around since ios 7. I thought it was new in ios 10. Sheesh. Guess I didn't have to tell you I just found out. You can move several video files with a few swipes and clicks and do so in seconds. Ok, if like me you didn't know about this - just watch my Youtube tutorial video below. It's only about 1 1/2 minutes long.

Let me know in the comments if you are using this or going to use it. You really don't have to fess up if you too are just finding out about this great tool!

Of course you can also use iCloud Photo Library - but that's another video.

Eileen, this does sound very easy for those with iPhones.    Maybe they will have one for Android soon.

Yes, it would be nice if technology made that sort of thing easier. Sometimes I think it just makes us busier!

I was just trying to move a video from my iphone to my laptop when I saw your video.  It didn't work for me - perhaps because I wasn't transferring to my ipad?

Hi Margaret Goss;  It just works between iDevices such as between iphones, ipads and also Mac books. But not to a PC. It will be a few weeks but am going to be a video tutorial on iCloud Photo library which will let you move video from your iphone to you PC and it does it automatically once you have it set up!

In the meanttime here is a link to one of my other videos that shows how to move a video to your PC (not wirelessly though).
