Good morning, Joanna -
It pays to be obvious, especially if you have a reputation for subtlety.

Hello all, this is the Canadian Embassy in London, opposite Trafalgar Square Nina Hollander and Roy Kelley and Ed Silva . And yes, sometimes we don't see what is obviously in front of our noses Michael Jacobs - love your choice of wisdom for the day-I think that Asimov's quote would be an even better title for my photo. But, given the popularity of Canada today - for travel and for resettlement - I loved this one!

Honestly Barbara Todaro Canada is looking better and better these days!
Amen, Sista.....
Good morning Joanna,
It sure beats the alternative of what is being shown the USA!
Make yourself an astonishing day.

Thanks so much Michael Jacobs - I too am considering migrating!
Thanks so much Barbara Todaro and yes, thumbs up for Canada for sure!
Yes Will Allen it is the thumb although I can think of a very appropriate use for our middle fingers these days - and yes Raymond E. Camp - the Brits remain more civilized than the Americans but these times do demand drastic measures!

Joanna,
What a great shot, and I love the thumb. Is it part of the Embassy's property, or is this sculpture appropriately there? A

Great photo Joanna! My sister lives in Toronto so CA feels like a second home to me. Love Toronto! Gets my thumbs up!

Good question Ron and Alexandra Seigel - it is not on an area that seems to be a part of the Embassy's property - it is actually in Trafalgar Square and yes, as far as I am concerned, it is definitely appropriate,
I have never been to Toronto Anna Banana Kruchten but I've heard wonderful things. Canada is definitely a destination for people this year-I went to the NYT Travel Show this past weekend and Pauline Frommer (of Frommer's fame) was touting Canada as the number one destination for tourists!
Good morning Joanna. As Is scrolling down to make a comment I see that several had the same question that I was going to ask.

Just what ws it, hard to tell by the photo
I love it! It just looks like something a Canadian would create - they always seem to have such a good sense of humor! Have a fantastic week, Joanna!
Thanks so much girls Debe Maxwell and Rebecca Gaujot, the Go To Realtor® - not sure a Canadian created it but the proximity was awfully curious!

That looks like a huge thumbs up but if I was more Freudian I would say something entirely different.
OMG, you are right Debbie Reynolds - I did not think of the Freudian interpretation here!
I was taking this post way too seriously until I read Debbie Reynolds comment. She cracked me up!!!
Have a wonderful day and thank you for posting such interesting photos from around the world. They are all make great conversational photos!
You are so welcome Patricia Feager and yes Debbie Reynolds is definitely onto something!
I love Canada! It is like going to Europe and only an hour and a half drive away Joanna Cohlan. Nice post...
