Good afternoon Brian England - you are so right-the masonry and the ironwork are really quite extraordinary. I would say the building was made turn 19th to the 20th century!

This looks so familiar, Joanna! Was this a building close to the one your had been working on in the foyer, and one of the apartments??

Actually Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Realtor (503)755-2905 - this was not close to the Upper East Side - these brownstones are on East 50th Street - close to the new lobbies that I am working on. So many beautiful things to see in New York, you must come back!

Oh, I want to! I want to! Seriously, I didn't think I'd fall in love with NY City the way that I did, thanks to you, my dear GF!! Much like you fell in love with Oregon in a completely different way.
New York has such amazing architecture, and that shot is perfect! You are fortunate to live in such an incredible city. I love visiting my uncle who lives there.

I know Beth Bromund - I love wandering the streets and despite the fact that I am a New Yorker, I always find new little niches and things to enjoy on my walks!

Good morning Joanna. I wonder when that was built. Just another example of they don't make them like they used to.
Thanks for sharing your photograph. You should be able to take some snow pictures today.
Truly lovely, Joanna... would you mind sharing where you took this picture?
Actually it was on 50th street and 2nd avenue, there is a hidden little gem there Nina Hollander

Don't be silly Ron and Alexandra Seigel I love that you fit me into your schedule so often. Hope you are doing well! Yes Roy Kelley I should - and you? I love walking in New York in the snow-people are so friendly and you can walk in the middle of the streets-no traffic!
Hi James Dray this looks like a structure from around the 1890'-1910- a little nouveau and a little Edwardian!
Hi Joanna... I know the area having lived on Sutton Place... but never quite saw this.
So far, we only have a dusting of snow in Kentlands. No snow pictures today.
Hi there Nina Hollander - it's so easy to pass these beautiful residences when we are rushing during the busy week!
We have 8 inches Roy Kelley but snowshoeing this weekend is on the Agenda!

What beautiful wrought iron work. This is a product that was very common in years past but now the expense of it is through the roof.
Hi Joanna - so tell me that is your current client. I wonder what is on the inside.
Joanna, we miss being close to New York, especially Zebars, Dean & Deluca and the fantastic Restaurants...Endre
Good morning Debbie Reynolds and Grant Schneider and Endre Barath, Jr. - iron work is extremely expensive these days but for my new project, built in 1899, we need to do some restoration. However this is not the facade of my project-this is a jewel that I passed on one of my morning meanderings!
Terrific Blog post appreciate you taking the time to share it. Keep it up :-)
