If you know anyone who has been affected by Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, this site has inspirational short essays. As a former patient, I seem to meet more and more people who are dealing with the stress and medical issues related to these two diseases.

Although I am a very private person for the most part, I felt my story was truly one of success. By going to the link above, you can read my essay and the other six who won.

Excitedly, my husband, daughter and I are going to Washington, DC Tuesday to take part in the "IB Day on the Hill".

Beth, Congratulations! I read your essay and you've certainly done well overcoming the adversity of the disease. While you are in Washington next week, why not stop by the National Association of REALTORS conference which will be in town at the same time?
