~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~

Did you know Facebook turns 13 tomorrow? In that short amount of time they have amassed nearly 1.9 billion monthly users and upwards of 1.2 billion daily mobile users.

The largest demographic of users are in the 25 to 34 age range and on average users spend 20 minutes on the platform per session (all statistics via zephoria.com). If we are actively trying to increase our brand exposure and grow our biz, can we really afford not to be on this platform?!

There are 5 excellent Rainers again this week for you to go visit on Facebook. I hope you make the effort to do that. Making new online friends is a great way to get your content seen by more consumers.

Good morning, Anita... lucky 13! I did not know that. You make a great case for being on Facebook... I'll admit I was one of those who resisted it early on, but am all in now... at least from a business sense. Still more limited on a personal level, as this is not my personal definition of being social with real friends.

I remember when a co-worker approached me at work 13 years ago. Our daughters were the same age and at the time, MySpace was the thing. She asked me if I'd heard about this new "Facebook" and should she let her daughter have an account. I replied (laughingly) "Nope... never heard of it and I am sure it's just a fad that will disappear. Who's gonna beat out MySpace?".
