Charles “EDWIN” Vienn II is a native of Houston, TX. He is an accomplished vocalist, actor, composer and graphic designer. He has been actively involved in the entertainment industry since his teenage years, with several music projects, stage plays and movies to his credit. As a former Virgin Records recording artist, he is best known for his founding membership in the Houston based platinum recording group IDEAL. After taking some time off to perfect his craft, he now dedicates his time worldwide helping other artist obtain their dream while he lives his.
EDWIN is an exceptional music producer/engineer. Charles is no stranger to the studio, its equipment, and various computer programs. With a degree in graphic design, and also a certified AVID film editor he moves around and studio (big or small) with ease, making most people's impossibles possible.
In 2005 he married his wife Nyree and in 2006 they started a media company called Uplift, which consists of a graphic division called Uplift Graphics and a music production division called Uplift Inner-Tainment. In 2008 Charles, Nyree and their then 3-year-old son Romello moved from San Diego, CA to Houston, TX. They continued building Uplift in Houston and had great success. In June 2009 Nyree gave birth to their second son Isaac. His birth really changed their life. Two months after his birth Romello came up with a great idea to create cartoon character out of his little brother and himself that would be used to teach children positive things. This was now the birth of another business venture, Uplift Comics. Since then they have been focused on growing Uplift Comics by creating mascot characters that would teach children through live school assembly programs. After working this business for 7 years now they now have 12 live action mascot characters. Edwin and Nyree have found their it in life, and are dedicating their lives to helping kids succeed in our world today with Uplift Comics. They live by the motto, “Uplift the Community, Change the World!”
The Houston native's influence includes Midwestern-related talents like Motown's Marvin Gaye, Ray Parker Jr., Donny Hathaway and Nat "King" Cole, as well as Sting, James Taylor, and Steely Dan. Vienn frequently sings around the Southern California area where he now lives, as well as travels to other cities around the U.S. as his schedule allows. Feeling the need to test himself in unfamiliar waters, Edwin plans to continue his travels, as well as continue writing, singing, producing music and performing and helping kids to win!
