Monty's on Miami Beach has been around for a long time and it's no wonder it's a favorite spot for locals to hang out, especially on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Overlooking the marina, you can literally be there for hours just watching the action. At the same time, Monty's has a super chill vibe which is what I love most about it.

What to expect: Great ambience, service, drinks and typical bar food. Pictured above with me is one of my dear friends Kevin, and we can't wait to plan our next trip there. Got to say, the chicken nachos were huge and while we didn't think we could handle them all, we managed to empty the basket. The Bloody Mary's were out of this world with lots of olives and made perfectly every time.

The sunsets are splendid and of course, with Miami's weather being perfect 99% of the time, this place rocks all year-round.

The really great thing: Free parking. If you know Miami Beach, parking can be a challenge and/or expensive so this alone is one element you will love Monty's for next time you're heading east.

While I prefer being outdoors by the pool, looking at the water, there is indoor dining and on most weekend evenings, some type of live music to enjoy as well.

Overall, one of my favorite spots in Miami.

Lisa,

Thank you for sharing this find with us.  Last time we were in Miami Beach was about 4 years ago in December.  I wish we had known about this, because parking was nearly impossible.  A
