Irving Housing Sales For December 2016 Are Down 0.7%

In Irving there were 138 home sales in December 2016, which was a slump of 0.7% from last year. In Irving there was an improvement of 6.1% in recorded houses sold year to date in contrast to the same time of year 2015. There were 1933 recorded houses sold this year. There was an improvement of 11.6% in the number of projected real estate sales in December 2016. There were 155 projected real estate sales total this month. Projected housing sales in Irving year to date saw a growth of 7%, with 1950 projected housing sales this year. This month the number of new properties listed in the market in Irving was 105, a drop of 13.9%. There was a slump of 2.8% in the number of new housing units year to date. There were 2264 new housing units this year. There were 103 listings under contract this month, which was a dip of 8% from December 2015. Year to date there were 1919 contract listings, which was an increase of 2.6% in contrast to last year. In Irving the number of approximate months supply of housing inventory in December 2016 was 1.4, a decline of 34.1%. This month properties for sale experienced a fall of 30.1%, with 232 listed for sale in the market total. This month there was a drop of 23.7% in days on market until sale in Irving compared to the same month 2015. There were 41 days on market until sale total this month. In December 2016 percent of original asking price received saw a rise of 1.1%, with 97.5 percent of original asking price received this month. Year to date percent of original list price received reached 97.9, a gain of 0.8%.
