Richardson Housing Sales For December 2016 Are Down 15.5%

In December 2016 in Richardson houses sold reached 109, a slump of 15.5% from December 2015. Recorded properties sold year to date was at 1385 total, a down-slide of 5.8% from the same time of year 2015. There was a slump of 5.1% in projected houses sold this month. There were 122 projected houses sold total this month. Year to date there was a slump of 4.9% in the number of projected property sales in Richardson. There were 1398 projected property sales total this year. The number of new units for sale this month saw a slump of 19.5%, with 66 newly listed total. The number of new houses listed in Richardson year to date was lower 4.8%, with 1603 new houses listed total this year. In Richardson contract listings this month had a growth of 1461% in contrast to last year, with 710.0 listed under contract total. Contract listings year to date in Richardson had no difference from last year, with -5.1 on contract total this year. In December 2016 the number of approximate months supply of housing inventory was lower 28.4%, with 0.8 approximate months supply of housing inventory this month. In December 2016 housing units for sale had a decrease of 32.6%, with 89 listed for sale in the market total. The number of days on market until sale in December 2016 reached 30 total, a dip of 4.4% from the same month last year. In December 2016 in Richardson percent of original asking price received reached 97.1, a drop of 1.3%. In Richardson year to date percent of list price received saw an uptick of 0.2%, with 98.7 percent total this year.
