The Colony Residential Home Sales For December 2016 Lower 27.1%

There was a dip of 27.1% in housing units sold in December 2016 from December 2015. There were 35 housing units sold total this month. Year to date there was a climb of 3.5% in homes sold from last year. There were 585 homes sold total this year. In The Colony projected houses sold this month lost 18.1%, with 39 projected houses sold total this month. Projected houses sold year to date experienced a growth of 4.3%, with 589 projected total this year. New homes in December 2016 had a decline of 20%, with 28 newly listed total. Year to date newly listed housing units in the market in The Colony was lower 0.8%, with 660 newly listed housing units in the market total this year. The number of residential properties listed under contract this month was up 19.4% from 2015, with 37 residential properties listed under contract this month. Residential properties listed under contract year to date experienced an uptick of 3.5% compared to 2015, with 594 listed on a contract total this year. In December 2016 the number of approximate months supply of homes on the market was lower 28%, with 0.9 approximate months supply of homes on the market this month. In December 2016 in The Colony housing units for sale on the market was 44 total, a drop of 25.4%. This month in The Colony days on market until sale was 36, a rise of 33.1% from the same month last year. This month the total percent of original list price received saw a slump of 0.7%, with 98.0 percent of original list price received total this month. Year to date the number of percent of original asking price received was at 99.4, a decrease of 0.3%.
